Phylogeny of the Pluteaceae (Agaricales, Basidiomycota): taxonomy and character evolution.
The phylogeny of the genera traditionally classified in the family Pluteaceae (Agaricales, Basidiomycota) was investigated using molecular data from nuclear ribosomal genes (nSSU, ITS, nLSU) and consequences for taxonomy and character evolution were evaluated. The genus Volvariella is polyphyletic, as most of its representatives fall outside the Pluteoid clade and shows affinities to some hygro...
متن کاملTaxonomy and phylogeny of European Gymnopus subsection Levipedes (Basidiomycota, Omphalotaceae)
The systematic integrity of European Gymnopus subsect. Levipedes is verified based on anatomic-morphological characters with support from DNA sequences of ITS and translation elongation factor 1-alpha genes. Seven species (G. alpinus, G. aquosus, G. dryophilus - including var. lanipes, G. erythropus, G. fagiphilus, G. hybridus, and G. ocior) belonging to this subsection are included. We clarify...
متن کاملTaxonomy and multi-gene phylogeny of Datronia(Polyporales, Basidiomycota)
Taxonomic and phylogenetic studies on Datronia were carried out. Phylogeny based on ITS, nLSU and RBP2 regions revealed that Datronia in current sense includes species belonging to three distantly related clades in polypores. The Datronia in a restricted sense is proposed for the clade including the type species D. mollis and D. stereoides. Neodatronia gen. nov. was proposed for two new resupin...
متن کاملMolecular phylogeny of eastern Asian species of Amanita (Agaricales, Basidiomycota): taxonomic and biogeographic implications
The phylogenetic relationships, taxonomy and biogeography of the genus Amanita with emphasis on eastern Asian species were estimated using sequence data from both internal transcribed spacer (ITS) regions and large subunit (nLSU) of nuclear ribosomal DNA. The separation of the two traditionally accepted subgenera was not well supported. Each section of Amanita, Vaginatae, Caesareae, Phalloideae...
متن کاملADDITION TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF AMANITA (AGARICALES, PLUTEACEAE) FROM IRAN
Six species of the genus Amanita are reported from Iran. Among them A. aspera, A. caesarea and A. crocea are new members for Iranian fungus flora. Three previously reported species viz. A. battarae, A. ceciliae and A. rubescens var. rubescens are studied in details. All species areredescribed and illustrated with microphotographs and drawings.
